Senior Business Analyst

November 2012 - July 2017

As a Senior Business Analyst, I have been responsible for requirements gathering, documentation management, user experience enhancements, training creation and facilitation, and system promotion for our core marketing database system platform. I have spent a majority of my time working to enhance the usability of certain components of our marketing database suite of products.

Along with usability enhancements, I also double as a training developer by recording, editing, and producing videos used in training. This requires the ability to not only think technically, but creatively. Some duties in this area include voiceover work, video production, and graphic creation.

While in this position I have been asked to participate in several high profile projects, including being part of a creative task force to define our "Elevator Pitch," being part of a committee to plan our organization's annual Sales Summitt, and being part of a 100-Day Launch Team for a new high profile product launch.

As a Business Improvement Manager, I worked to internally highlight internal systems and improve functionality for our associates. My primary duties involved soliciting feedback from users to make our internal systems more efficient and user friendly. Along with improving the user experience of the tools, I was also responsible for creating promotional material for our internal systems. This includes writing, directing, and editing any promotional videos that were used to educate our Executive Team.

This position required high levels of creativity, the ability to clearly communicate ideas and the future of systems, and also the ability to solicit feedback from a broad base of users.

As a Business Analyst for Acxiom, I was responsible for writing detailed business requirements for custom marketing database solutions for several Fortune 500 companies. My primary duties were to facilitate Discovery sessions with our clients to elicit custom business and functional requirements used to design their custom solution. This position required exceptional levels of communication and facilitation. I spent a majority of my time maintaining documentation and coordinating requirements gathering sessions with the clients.

When creating a new web site, I use the Joomla platform exclusively. I am not fluent in HTML, PHP, or CSS, but can read enough to perform the tasks needed by my clients.

I also assisted in designing and developing web-enabled database applications for ABCBS and PBSI.

During my time at PBSI, I was assigned to a development team that was directly responsible for PBSI in acquiring multiple major government contracts to facilitate Medicare claims in 8 states. This team has developed a Paperless Workflow system that is designed to save time and money for PBSI and make the company one of the most competitive companies in the nation for Medicare claims processing. This system was recently awarded the Excellence In Information Integrity Silver award, an international award that recognizes organizations that strive to provide accurate, consistent and reliable information to their customers, suppliers and partners.

I also traveled throughout the state and the US to hospitals, clinics, and Health Information Conferences as a Sales Representative to establish a relationship with potential clients.
